Addizza Carthon
Addizza “Nichelle” Carthon is the founder and driving force behind Positive Outcomes Support and Hope, bringing more than 20 years of unwavering dedication to the human services field. Having worked across every level of care — from direct support to leadership — Nichelle has built a reputation for compassion, strength, and a relentless commitment to uplifting individuals with developmental disabilities
After two decades of witnessing both the challenges and the extraordinary potential within the community, Nichelle set out to create an agency that raises the standard of care. Their vision is bold: a program where every individual is treated with dignity, empowered with opportunity, and supported by people who truly believe in their ability to thrive.
Known for their integrity, resilience, and deep understanding of the human services system, Nichelle leads with purpose and heart. Positive Outcomes Support and Hope, reflects their core belief that meaningful change happens when people are seen, valued, and given the chance to grow — and they are committed to building a program that delivers exactly that.

Furlance Bascombe
Vice President
Furlance Bascombe serves as Vice President of Positive Outcomes Support and Hope, Inc. (POSH Inc.), where he plays a key role in supporting the organization’s mission to empower individuals with developmental disabilities through inclusive, person-centered services. With a strong background in operations, safety, and hands-on support, Furlance brings practical leadership, reliability, and problem-solving skills to the organization’s programs and initiatives. He is committed to promoting dignity, independence, and community integration, while working collaboratively with leadership, staff, and community partners to ensure high-quality, supportive environments that help individuals thrive and achieve positive outcomes.

Director, Fundraising & Event Chair
Amahl Williams
Amahl Williams brings 15+ years of experience helping organizations turn big ideas into measurable results, with a focus on building sustainable systems that actually work in the real world. As POSH’s Fundraising and Event Chair, he applies a go-to-market mindset to expand community support, strengthen donor and partner relationships, and design events that are both mission-forward and outcomes-driven. His work centers on practical automation and data-informed strategies that improve how teams plan, execute, and communicate, so fundraising efforts translate into consistent resources for the people POSH serves. Amahl is also the author of The Human Edge in AI, reflecting his belief that smart technology, guided by human judgment, can help mission-based organizations grow impact without losing the heart of the work.

Secretary
Dimitri K. Cooper
Dimitri K. Cooper brings more than 15 years of experience across frontline and public-sector human services, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and dignity in care. His background includes residential and community-based services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, justice-involved youth, and people experiencing housing instability.
In his current role with the City of Atlanta Office of the City Solicitor, supporting the Safe and Secure Housing Initiative (SASHI) and municipal court operations, he works in high-accountability environments where accuracy, due process, and coordination are critical. As Secretary of POSH, Mr. Cooper contributes governance discipline, risk awareness, and a deep understanding of the documentation and oversight standards required in regulated service settings.

Patricia Wornum
Program Director
Patricia Wornum, is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician with over 20 years of experience in the human services field, including education. She works with both youth and adults, supporting them through a wide range of life challenges. Patricia is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered. She believes in meeting people where they are and working collaboratively to build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and foster meaningful personal growth.

Michelle Fontes
Treasurer
Michell Fontes is a Special Education Teacher with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders across school and residential settings, serving students ages 5–22 and adults 22+. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Salve Regina University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from National University, with a concentration in moderate to severe special needs. Currently an Educational Specialist at Stein Education Center in San Diego, CA, Michell’s work is grounded in compassion, human connection, and collaboration. Through her involvement with POSH, Inc., she is committed to amplifying voices, fostering inclusion, and empowering individuals to be recognized as valued and essential members of their communities.
